DAWN ROBINSON, FLUTE is from Ninety Six, SC. She received a Bachelor of Music degree in music education with a flute performance certificate from the University of South Carolina. At USC, she played principal flute in the symphonic band and orchestra and marched in the Carolina Band. She won the USC Concerto Competition, won the MTNA State Woodwind Competition twice, and placed at the Southern Division MTNA Woodwind Competition. She received a Master of Music degree from Louisiana State University, where she played principal flute in the wind ensemble and orchestra. She was a two-year winner of the Louisiana Flute Society Flute Competition. Dawn is an Adjunct Faculty member in Applied Flute at Lander University and the church pianist & music director for Cambridge United Methodist Church.
BECKY GARDNER, OBOE grew up in Indiana and received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from the College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio. She spent two years as a middle school band and choir director in Lewes, Delaware. After marrying her husband, Dr. David Gardner, she spent the next six years teaching middle and high school band in Crawfordsville, Indiana. She is currently a stay-at-home mother with three wonderful children--Eric, Michael, and Shirley. She also conducts the Emerald Bells handbell choir and sings in her church choir. Becky is an Adjunct Faculty member in Applied Oboe at Lander University.
DEBRA ROBINSON, CLARINET is from Ninety Six, SC. She received a Bachelor of Music degree in music education with a clarinet performance certificate from the University of South Carolina. At USC, she was a member of the symphonic & marching bands, orchestra, and chamber groups. She received a Master of Science degree in college student services from the University of Tennessee, where she performed with the UT wind ensemble. Debra is pianist for Temple Baptist Church & works for Greenwood School District 50.
SONJA CRENSHAW, HORN is originally from the state of Iowa where she received a Bachelor of Music degree from Iowa State University and a Master of Music degree from the University of Northern Iowa. She was a hornist with the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony Orchestra and the 504th Air Force Band of the Golden Gate. Currently, Sonja is an Adjunct Faculty member in Applied horn at Lander University. She is principal horn with the Greater Anderson Musical Arts Consortium (GAMAC) orchestra and a member of the Tennessee Brass.
KEVIN DOVE, BASSOON is a member of the Lander University Mathematics Faculty. He has a B.S. and M.S. from West Virginia University and a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. He has played all of the woodwinds at one time or another, starting bassoon when the University of Tampa Wind Ensemble needed a bassoon player. He has played in the Imperial Symphony (Florida), bands and wind ensembles, and for musical theater productions.
